The Company

Kronos established themselves in the canned fruit industry in 1971. As a leader in the Greek canning industry, we are the largest producer in Europe and among the top five in the world.

We are located in Central Greek Makedonia, close to ancient Pella – legendary home of Alexander the Great. Being in the heart of the peach growing area as well as close to the Thessaloniki seaport, means that Kronos is positioned well to receive raw material and export speedily to our customers around the world.

KRONOS keeps pace with the changing market place and has the most modern and updated technological equipment available to the industry. We have an on sight laboratory together with modern warehouses that continually support our company in processing over 1.000 tones canned fruit per day. This is taking place under the watchful eye of our experienced personnel.

The company’s head office, warehouse and production facilities cover an area of 50.000 square meters of buildings while the total surface area is close to 200.000 square meters. Our total processing capacity is around 50.000 tones.

According to the Greek mythology, Kronos was the youngest of the Titans. He was renowned for his strength and intelligence.
He is the god who taught to men the art of agriculture, the star of justice and law.
He symbolizes the stability, the continuity and the human concentration.

PEACH

According to the traditions, the flower of the peach tree, symbolizes the spring and its renaissance and as a consequence, the fecundity.
The peach tree is considered as the “Life Tree of the Terrestrial Paradise”, that provides people with life and joy and the peach is a fruit which symbolizes the purity and the immortality.

The health Benefits of Canned Peaches

Canned peaches can be a particular healthy food for athletes as they provide quick energy and may prevent cramping due to muscle fatigue. Nutrients in canned peaches may also prevent blindness due to age-related macular degeneration and prevent infection due to damaged skin and mucus membranes.
