Olive cultivation began in the Middle East over 5,000 years ago and gradually spread westward throughout the Mediterranean basin. The Romans first planted Olive trees in Spain, and since then olive oil has been central to their cuisine and history. Spain is the one producer of Olive Oil in the world. Although olive oil is often associated with Italian cuisine, Spain produces, on average 48 % of the world’s olive oil, averaging 1 million tons of it annually.

Varieties of CIBO OLIVE OIL

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil – it is low in saturated fat and full of vitamins and beneficial compounds. Plus it taste delicious!
  • Pomace Olive Oil – is the oil obtained from olives pressed once when the first oil in the mill has been obtained. Therefore it is the second best oil we can consume. Once refined is enriched with a % of extra virgin olive oil which increases the aroma and flavor.
  • Olive Oil – a blend of both virgin and refined olive oil it has a free acidity, expressed as Oleic Oil of not more than 1 gram per 100.
  • Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil – This olive oil is 100% natural, has no additives, no preservatives and no mixtures of low grade olive oil. It’s carefully handled to preserve its purity, fragrant and smooth w/a light aroma of fresh raw olives.
